WALK (AT)
The daily hustle and bustle in the streets of Taiwan, the life of the people within a potentially endangered democracy. Birds can be heard singing in mist-covered mountains, scooters whizz past snack stalls, morning prayers ring out, the newspaper is studied feverishly. The regional elections are in full swing and the candidates are making the campaign sound loud. Far from or precisely because of international tensions, a special life continues to take place. In WALK (AT), on a walk once around Taiwan, the mood of a country and its people is captured in images and re-collaged in scenic shots and reproduced in an experimental documentary.
